Chinese Classical Poetry has a long history for more than two thousand years. In modern times, Chinese Classical poetry needs to open to the world. And the world needs to look into the Chinese Classical poetry.The aesthetic imagery plays a significant role in the development of Chinese Literary. In modern times, the Chinese image theory not only possesses a very strong sense of pictures, but also have a rich cultural connotations.It illuminates the new aesthetic value of the Chinese Classical Poetry in mordern times.It has a theoretical and practical significance in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.The article mainly divided into four parts.The first part:This part clarifies the origin and development of the concept in Chinese aesthetic imagery.Then it summarizes the history of the Chinese image theory in the ancient Chinese literary criticism.The second part:In the history of culture Communication between Chinese and Western, Chinese Classical Poetry had a profound impact on American Imagist poetry. The imagist,which was led by by Ezra Pound,accept the image skill of Chinese Classical Poetry. Fundamentally, they have different demands on the image theory.The third part:This part is the principal part of the thesis.It analysis the special characteristics of the images in Shengtang peoms,including the cultural connotations,the aesthetic characteristics and the combination ways which put them together. In addition,the paper also discuss about the similarities between the Chinese Classical Poetry and Montage.The forth part:Disscusses the relationship between the aesthetic image of Chinese Classical Poetry and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.To sum up, aesthetic imagery bridge the differences between Chinese Classical poetry and World Literature. Toda,we must reconstruct the the aesthetic imagery with the basic laws of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,which can help the world to accpt the beauty of Chinese Classical Poetry.
