| During the anti-Japanese war period, student movement was considered important part of mass movement led by CPC. Student movement in Guilin under the direction of CPC during that period was also a vital part in student movement of the whole nation, which made great contribution to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. During that time, student took part in the Anti-Japanese War, playing a pioneering role in the anti-Japanese national salvation movement.Students in Guilin joined some associations, such as the guangxi students’army, salvation association of guangxi students, association of anti-Japanese of Guilin, and association of anti-Japanese reserve force. They went further to urban and rural areas, the front and the rear base areas to organize people to participate in war. They made culture circle united together, with dramas, songs, comics and parade, which promoted the development of "cultural city". On campus, they studied Marxism-Leninism revolutionary ideas, and fought with TuoPa and SanQingTuan who were for the anti-communist fallacy. They stacked to the belief of communism. They pursued truth, progress and revolutionary, which did a great help on the development of the anti-Japanese war. They turned into young leader staff and played an important role in the revolutionary in guangxi.During the war period, the reasons why students in Guilin could push the anti-Japanese movement forward are the anti-Japanese war situation, students’pursue of progress, the request of Gui clique, and the last but not the least, the leadership and the direction of the CPC to the students movement in Guilin. At present, the research on the leadership of CPC to Guilin students’movement are still lacking of objective, systematic and comprehensive analysis. Therefore, it is very necessary to analyze the leadership of CPC to Guilin students’movement, which will make up defects in this field and attract more attention of corresponding researchers. By doing this research, we can help college students inherit and carry forward those fine revolutionary spirit and patriotism. This thesis is mainly about the preliminary research on the leadership of CPC to students’ movement in Guilin. It probes the discussion from four aspects, and the second and the third are the main parts of the thesis.In the first part, the author analyzes the reasons and the advantages of the leadership of CPC to students’movement in Guilin during the anti-Japanese war period. War situation that rear base areas were in need of help, great importance of students’movement and the need of pursuing truth, are the reasons. CPC took advantages of effective united front work and being established organization system of the Party itself to lead the students’movement.In the second part, it discusses about the leadership measures and achievements of CPC to the students’movement in Guilin. The Party worked it out from the respects of the thought of guide, organization leadership and examples of model party members. They educated and publicize Marxism-Leninism revolutionary ideas, in and out of class. They fought with TuoPa and SanQingTuan who were for the anti-communist fallacy, and they stacked to the belief of communism and the determined will of revolutionary.CPC organized students to learn about the situations during the war time, and sent out policies to guide them. In the anti-communist crisis of the Kuomintang, CPC changed the strategies to make sure that students’movement step forward a right direction. In the respect of organizing, CPC tried to build up and perfect its branches in the schools of Guilin, which played a fighting role in making plans and organizing students in the basic level. Guide and organize the student associations, and made them the main methods to lead the students’movement. Model party members played an exemplary role in making plans and organizing so that they could unite more students to participate the anti-Japanese war.In the third part, the author summarizes the characteristics and historical experience of the leadership of CPC to students’movement in Guilin. Kuomintang adopted two-side policies about the work of united-front of CPC, which means they were in contact with CPC, on the other hand, they did not admit the legal status of CPC, and even they repressed CPC cruelly. The situation determines the features of leadership of CPC to students’movement:the unity of direct and indirect ways, coexistence of public and secret ways, and advantages of "cultural city" of Guilin. The leadership of CPC to students’movement in Guilin achieved a great success. Firstly, CPC insisted on the education Marxist-Leninist ideas. Secondly, CPC strengthened the fighting role in Party organization of the basic level. Thirdly, the matter of control and leadership the pioneering students’organization was an effective way.In the fourth part, the author summarized the practical implications on leadership of CPC to students’movement in Guilin during the war time. In the construction of Chinese characteristic socialism modernization, the governing Party should comply with the development of the era, and enhance students’Marxist faith education. On the other hand, the governing Party should learn from historical experience, and effectively strengthen the basic-level Party organization’s fighting forts role in schools. At the same time, attention should be paid to the students’ organization and the student community construction should be strengthened. |
