It is more than30years since the first American TV series "man from Atlantis" broadcast on Chinese TV set in1980.Now,with the globalization’s further development,more and more American TV series spread in China,trained a large number of American TV audience.This article attempts to put American TV series as research subjects, with narratology and cross-cultural dissemination of science as major research methods, from the American TV in China spread of course, social language system environment, the meaning of the text, and audience analysis of many aspects of American TV phenomenon of intercultural communication in China, a comprehensive analysis and analysis to identify the reasons for the American TV intercultural communication in China, combined with the audience empirical analysis and cross-cultural acceptance of the psychological interpretation of intercultural communication to American TV to do the interpretation of deep-seated, and to provide a reference for China’s TV drama production and dissemination.From the perspective of intercultural communication to take care of the current American TV series hit in China, I believe that the American TV series’s success spread not only in its beautiful outward, but the main cultures in the audience well versed in psychology, to win audiences of different cultural backgrounds resonance.The development of our country also have to watch American TV audience base through in-depth interpretation of the American TV audience can see, China’s American TV audience, most of the more rational, mature and become more aesthetic receiving psychological.This is also a cross-cultural communication "cultural divide" has been one of the reasons for transcendence.The main content of this paper is divided into four parts, the first section briefly describes the main types of the American TV series and its broadcast mechanisms.Dividing the American TV series’ spread in China into three stages:early screen impact, medium-term "hidden epidemic" and porpular in the age of the Internet.The second part of the text study on the social context of interpretation of the current American TV series’ spread in China: globalization, network communication and popular culture context. Under the joint action of the triple context, the American TV series’ spread in China showing a new feature:Network hit, even beyond the traditional Japanese TV series and Korean TV series, popular among young people.The third part of this text use the method of text analysis to find the reasons that the American TV series’popularity in China. Also to find out the characteristics of narrative perspective and structure:more clues to the open-ended narrative makes the development of the drama has limitless possibilities, suspense and conflictlayers of advancing the plot more tension and artistic, and a variety of subjects as well as a profound and vivid characterization is the United States play a major selling point.Meaning in the text of the American TV series, the universal cultural values in different countries, different ethnic heterogeneity and cultural audiences are able to feel the resonance from positive, positive in creating an atmosphere as well as play all over the blowing wind."More deep intimacy of the Chinese audience.Such a diverse culture presents not only to show the audience a picture of a multi-cultural, but also to meet the audience’s understanding of different cultures and needs, and passed in the nurture of their own values., Although the number of Chinese TV series is very larger, the quality of the drama is on very low lever.We should draw lessons from America TV series and raise the quality of national TV productions.The fourth part of this text focus on audience analysis, combined with the questionnaire and some other data, finding American TV audience’s characteristics and the attitude of American TV series’cross-cultural communication.
