The measure words are special parts of speech in Chinese. And meanwhile,thatis a difficult point in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Through choose themeasure words in different books,we could analysis which measure words should beknown by the people who learn Chinese as a foreign language.Many measure wordsare easily confused. Using comparative analysis,we could find the subtledifferences between the confusing measure words.Then,we chould distinguish thesewords in Chinese teaching practice.This article divided into six parts.Part one, introduction.This part introducted the contect and research methodsin the article and explained the questions that what are measure words,theclassification of measure words,the features of grammar,name and the currentsituation of researches.Part two,the scope of confusing measure words in teaching Chinese as a foreignlanguage.Judging the scope of confusing measure words come from differentaspects.At the teaching books of teaching Chinese as a foreign language for wholearn Chinese and the exam outline of HSK for who take the examination just hadapproximate 70 measure words.But at the book of the Putonghua proficiency testfor Chinese people had approximate 200 measure words.This situation prove thatthe number of measure words for foreign students are not enough.The foreignerswho learn Chinese as a foreign language should know at least 170 measurewords,except the measure words of size and uncommon.Part three, the reseach of homophones in measure words in teaching Chineseas a foreign language.Some of the measure words that learners should be known arehomophones.When the learners communicate with each other in Chinese, thesehomophones maybe confuse them.We should understand the exact means and the thingsthey can measure of these homophones.The homophones of measure words should beeasily recognized by learners. Part four, the research of the measure words whose meaning are similar inteaching Chinese as a foreign language.In Chinese,this type of measure words aremore easily confused than homophones.Additionally,the number of this kind ofmeasure words are more than homophones.From original meanings to secondarymeanings,every measure word’s track that developed and evolved is appeared.So,itis reasonable that one measure words could measure some things.Then,we contrastthe confusing measure words.The subtle differences will be identified easily.Part five,we should pay attention to the measure words。Teaching methods ofmeasure words in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Because we could not usemeasure words as the key link when we write the teaching books,the measure wordsare not enough in teaching books.teachers who teach Chinese as a foreign languageshould play the key role except improve our teaching books.teachers should putthe subjective initiative fully,which teach measure words on the basis of theclassification of measure words.teachers should pay attention to the originalmeanings and evolution and teach from the angle original meanings andcomparison.Like this,learners’interests will be improved and the difficulty ofmeasure words will be reduced.Part six, epilogue.the reseach will be summarized roundly.
