Vocabulary has played a very important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.And scope adverbs as a small class in Chinese vocabulary, due to its abstract and complex meaning, it is difficult for foreign students to use correctly.And the scope adverbs are the key points and difficulties in vocabulary teaching Chinese as a foreign language.With the increase of learners’ vocabulary, the meaning and usage do not explain thoroughly by teachers and inaccurately annotation of the text books, the foreign students are easily to be confused in the process of learning Chinese, which will affect the students’ pragmatic communication.This thesis is based on the Beijing Language and Culture University “HSK dynamic composition corpus”, summarized the scope adverbs which learners are easily confused by statistics and contrast. "dou---jiu", "zhi---zhiyou" and "zai---you" are the highly error rate confusing scope adverbs.The thesis is focused on the research and analysis these three groups of confusing scope adverbs. In order to help the foreign students learning scope adverbs better,taking the examples from “HSK dynamic composition corpus” and the author’s teaching practice,find out the reasons of confusing and put forward some teaching methods.This thesis is divided into five chapters altogether.The first chapter is the introduction part which is mainly introduced the reason and significance for selecting this topic,domestic research status in quo, and the research range and methods.The second chapter is mainly discussed the definition and classification of the scope adverbs from different angles by the domestic scholars.The third chapter is focused on how to find out the three groups of confusing scope adverbs and how to discriminate them by the sentences of “HSK dynamic composition corpus” and the sentences collected in practical teaching.In the fourth chapter,the author mainly introduced the reasons why scope adverbs are easily confused and the teaching methods for how to teach confusing scope adverbs.The last chapter is the summary of the thesis,which including the innovation of this thesis and more subjects need to study.
