The Cantonese occupy an important position in modern Chinese dialects. Hong Kongand Macao is so different from Mainland China in language, for the political and historicalreasons, politics and so on before regression. For overseas Chinese people, they ever orrarely get in touch with Mandarin after birth. It makes the result also produced ingraineddependence of Cantonese dialect in psychological and emotional. In recent years, thelanguage of Hongkong (Hong Kong Cantonese), text (Hong Kong style writing form) hasspread by the Chinese inhabit along with the Hongkong immigrant to American, Canada,Australia through many other pathways of media and culture, This unique language has beenmore and more popular between the Chinese group. This has led more people think as longas they can use Hong Kong Cantonese to achieve effective communication, which is notconducive to the country and the common language of a nation to promote. Plus althoughthere are a lot of Putonghua education center, but no similar to the mainland" language" to dothe language and writing work mechanism, Putonghua teaching has not been healthydevelopment, now in Hong Kong and Macao and overseas Cantonese Chinese use theChinese language, whether spoken or written language, with mainland in modern Chinesethere is a great difference even now, and the "old Cantonese" is also very different. OverseasCantonese Chinese use the Chinese language in the rapidly toward the" western style","English loan words are more and more popular, more and more new words’ appeared.Based on the Mandarin and Cantonese vocabulary differences as the breakthrough point,study of overseas Cantonese Chinese teaching methods, according to this population oftenoccurs in lexical errors and daily Mandarin learning analysis so that to proposed teachingstrategies.Hong Kong and Macao and overseas Chinese and Mandarin have substantially the samevocabulary, based on the overseas Cantonese Chinese learning and the use of modernChinese vocabulary errors as the object of study. With the foreign language teaching theoryas the guidance, and the combining the language research and teaching examples, canexplores the two languages in the lexical differences and try to grab the certain rule, Thepurpose is for modern Chinese teaching. I hope to do some valuable work to improve thestandard of Putonghua for the overseas Cantonese Chinese who learns Mandarin standardChinese.
