Semantic field theory is an important achievement of modern semantic research.It breaks through the isolated research method and narrow research scope in traditional semantics,and tries to describe the whole lexical system,which has considerable research value in analyzing syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations between words.If semantic field theory can be applied to the lexical teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it will not only help learners to discriminate synonyms,grasp the phenomenon of polysemy,but also help them enlarge their vocabulary and improve the semantic network of Chinese vocabulary.This paper illustrates semantic field theory and spreading activation model,as the theoretical basis of this paper.According to the research achievements of predecessors and the summary of my own course observations,this paper proposes the vocabulary teaching strategies,methods and problems to be noticed under the guidance of semantic field theory.Besides,taking some new words in the specific text as an example,the vocabulary teaching design is carried out using the mentioned strategies and methods.This paper aims to provide effective breakthrough points and teaching methods for the lexical teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language guided by the semantic field theory,so as to help learners to better understand and memorize words in semantic field,and to improve the Chinese lexical network according to semantic links.
