With the dramatic shift of the economic and industrial structures of Japan, competitions among enterprises are becoming increasingly intense. With the change in the modes of personnel and labor management, the professional awareness of employees have changed as well, and workplace pressure imposed on employees tends to be increasingly aggravated with the ceaseless diversification of work manners. Since1997, the number of people committed suicide had seen a dramatic increase in Japan, with a total number of more than30thousand annually. The number of employees committed suicide is between8to9thousand annually. There are many cases in which workplace pressure has caused psychological burden, mental illness or even suicide, and which are confirmed as applicable for employee damage compensation insurance. In such a competitive environment, enterprises seek to expand overseas market, especially Chinese market. According to relevant survey and statistics conducted in2010by Consulate of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on Japanese people living abroad, there are123,716Japanese people currently living in China, among which48,146living in Shanghai. It could be observed that both numbers tend to increase annually. In the economic transition period of China, the incidence of psychological health problems occurred in Japanese funded enterprises in China is higher than that in Japan and is increasingly aggravating. The employee damage compensation insurance of Japan is applicable for Japanese funded enterprises abroad. As a policy aiming at the psychological health problems of personnel employed by Japanese funded enterprises in China is an essential measure for the risk management of enterprises. In accordance with the above status quo, and for the purposes of understanding the psychological health problems occurring on Japanese personnel employed by Japanese funded enterprises in China and revealing the relationship between the cross-cultural adaptability of international talents and depression, we have tried to determine the relationship between the cross-cultural adaptability of international talents and depressed emotion with48Japanese funded enterprises and140Japanese employees in China as the objects of study. The measurement of the cross-cultural adaptability of international talents has adopted the Intercultural Adjustment Potential Scale (Simplified Edition,1999, David Matsumoto); The measurement of depressed emotion has adopted Self-rating Depression Scale (Japan Edition).Statistical analysis refers to a kind of data analysis conducted as by gender and age.SDS scores are divided into two groups, namely, health group (low group) and depression group (high group). For the basic attributes of various genders and four lower standards of ICAPS, independent variable t is used for measurement, relevant analysis and dispersion analysis.Besides, with SDS score as purpose variable and various variables of ICAPS as explanatory variables, we have conducted multiple regression analysis. From valid analysis objects we have eliminated the cases of gaps or wrong answers in the questionnaire, there are127people left, namely,106males and21females.In the survey conducted this time, the number of people suffering from state of depression accounts for24%of the total number of objects surveyed. The ratios of males and females suffering from a state of depression are respectively22%and43%.In the high group and low group of SDS scoring, we have discovered a disposed difference existing in the personality element (self-respect degree·self-acceptance degree) in the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents. In the survey conducted to determine the relationship between the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents and SDS, we have discovered personality element (self-respect degree·self-acceptance degree) showing medium-degree positive correlation. With SDS score as purpose variable and various lower standards of the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents as explanatory variables, we have conducted multiple regression analysis. The result obtained is of statistical significance. One of the lower standards of the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents-personality element (self-respect degree· self-acceptance degree), has showed positive contribution of statistical significance in SDS. Other lower standards of the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents showed no contribution of statistical significance.According to the result of statistical analysis, we have reached the conclusion that, the higher the personality element (self-respect degree·self-acceptance degree) which is one of the lower standards of the cross-cultural adaptability standard of international talents, the lower the degree of emotional depression.Japanese employees in China are confronted with various problems. For the mere purpose of survival, maintaining the psychological health of employees is of essential importance for both employees personally and for enterprises on the whole. Enterprises should provide an ideal internal cultural environment where the self-respect degree self-acceptance degree of employees could be improved. This is a major issue for the survival competition in international society.
