A Study On The Children’s Songs By Pan Zhensheng

Pan Zhensheng is one of the famous contemporary Chinese composers ofchildren’s songs. He has been devoted himself to writing children’s songs for nearlyhalf a century. He had not entered a college or a university to concentrate on learninghow to compose music, but he started to write the music and study intensively whenhe got long-term along with children. From then on, he fell in love with this sacredprofession and focused almost all his experiences and efforts on the creation anddevelopment of children’s songs. In the past fifty years, he published thousands ofchildren’s songs. Known as “King of Children’s Songs”, he has made an outstandingcontribution to children’s songs and childhood education.According to the classification of Pan Zhensheng children’s songs, this essaydoes a preliminary inquiry in terms of lyrics, melody, rhythm, tonality and so forth.On that basis, this essay will conclude overall characteristics of his music creation. Itis definite that it plays an important and significant role in the growth of the childrenthrough school education and social life. And I also hope the classification of my research achievement can do a littlebit contribution to our country children’s songs by providing suitable material supportto music education of our country children.
