As a famous sinologist, a parallel prose writer and a calligrapher in Qianlong and Jiaqing period, Xingyan Sun had a very high attainments and made remarkable achievements In Sinology textual criticism, literature and calligraphy writing. When he was a child, he was influenced by his family deeply, and his main content of the academic culture was in poetry and parallel prose. Xingyan Sun made his poems and parallel proses achive great improvment durring the responsorial exchangment with the other parallel prose whiters of Famous Seven in Changzhou, and he became very famous in South of the Yangtze River under the strong reward of Hening Jiang and Mei Yuan. However,when Xingyan Sun was fomous for his poems and parallel proses, a war broke out between the Han school and the Song school in the imperial Library of Beijing. In this argument, the Han school gradually wined under the strong support of the authorities,and soon whipped up a huge wave of sinology in Beijing and even the whole country.Xingyan Sun was living in Changzhou where the academic culture is very prosperous in Qing Dynasty, therefore it was able to very early for him to catch academic messages. Under the influence of the Sinology, Xingyan Sun changed his emphases of the academic culture form poetry to Sinology,and gradually formed his academic route in which the Sinology turns major and the poetry turns minor.Continuance of Gu wenyuan was a parallel prose literature which had edited by Xingyan Sun in JiaQing12th year,was the continuance of Wenxuan and Gu wenyuan. Continuance of Gu wenyuan was edited under the complex cultural background where the Sinology turn flourish, the parallel proses Rebound strongly and the Tongcheng proses have a strong rise,so it was marked the brand of the complex era cultural of the Qianlong and Jiaqing period. Had multiple identities of a sinologist, a parallel prose writer and a calligrapher, Xingyan Sun also poured his multiple cultural intent into Continuance of Gu wenyuan. IN addition, through researching the layout style,the text content and text selection standards in Continuance of Gu wenyuan, and comparing Xingyan Sun’s parallel proses with the proses edited in Continuance of Gu wenyuan. We can reveal his hidden literary theory and literary aesthetic in Continuance of Gu wenyuan. Furthermore, through the comparation between Xingyan Sun’s hidden literary theories and literary aesthetic in Continuance of Gu wenyuan with other parallel prose writers’ literary theories in Qing Dynasty. We can reveal the contribution of the Parallel Prose writers in Qing Dynasty to the development of the literature in Qing Dynasty.The article is divided into three parts of introduction, mainbody and conclusion.The mainbody includes four chapters:In Chapter one, I mainly summarized the personal background of Xingyan Sun, Including the research of Xingyan Sun’name, his family background,his coalescent plot,his life and his academic activities.In Chapter two, I mainly summarized the social and cultural background of Qianlong and Jiaqing period in Qing Dynasty.Including the background where Xingyan Sun edited his Continuance of Gu wenyuan and the reasons why Xingyan Sun edited his Continuance of Gu wenyuan.In Chapter three, I mainly did the research to explore the literay theory hidden in the Continuance of Gu wenyuan through learning the Layout style,the content and the selection standards of Continuance of Gu wenyuan and comparing Xingyan Sun’ sparallel proses with the proses edited in Continuance of Gu wenyuan.In Chapter four, I mainly revealed the literary significance that Xingyan Sun’ sContinuance of Gu wenyuan promote the development of literature through comparing Xingyan Sun’s hidden literary theories and literary aesthetic in Continuance of Gu wenyuan with other parallel prose writers’ literary theories in Qing Dynasty.
