In China, Family Ethics Series is the most important part of popular culture. It was prepared in the1980s and shaped up in the1990s, prospering in new century. Family Ethics Series is a product of China’s social reality, not only vividly recreates family and social life, which mainly on the relationship of husband and wife, but also creates many vivid images of men. For example, Wang Hushing, Chong rue, Yu we, Jin Liang and so on, this male roles become the symbolic image in that period, and show the rich deep meaning.This paper selected Golden Eagle Award and Flying Goddess Award for Family Ethics Series in new century, and analyses the transformation of the male images. Using of communication, sociology and ethics theory, analysis the reasons of the evolution. The value tendency is found from the men’s fate in the show, based on the research of the typical cases. And then develop a broader space and possibly for monographic study of the China’s Family Ethics Series.This paper can be totally divided into four chapters. First, according to the clues of time, to give a generally description of the development and explore the vestige of Family Ethics Series in22years. The transition can be divided into two stages: Beginning of Social Transformation and New Century Period. Second, based on the male image in the literary work before1990s, tease out hero image and civilian image, peep the background of the male image of the new century. Chapter Ⅲ focuses on the construction of the male image since the beginning of the new century. Based on the typical cases, analysis of the narrative mode on the fate of the male characters, explore the value orientation. The last chapter starts from the sight of cultural study, explores the deep meaning and value orientation of the male image.
