The GIStechnology, in view of its powerful features and applications, will it be combined withproject management, so GIS-based project management of more and more widespreadconcern in society, related to information systems design and development has begun,and Some technology is already quite mature. This article is in such a context, from themain project management from start to explore and summarize the relevant theories andideas on project management in the field of GIS application status are summarized, andto attempt to reach which may sufficiently play features and advantages of GIStechnology projects management, establishing and match the technical characteristics ofGIS project management organizational structure. Finally, the theory is used in practicalprojects to look forward to the management of the project reference. This article fromthe project schedule management, cost management, quality management, contractmanagement to establish four GIS-based project management system, combined withproject management organization structure design, in order to find GIS-based projectmanagement method.
