| ã€objective】(1) As one of the state-level veteran Chinese medicine experts, Mr. Niu Xingdong is an instructor for academic inheritance. who has been working for nearly50years with rich clinical experiences and effective treatment. This paper aims to summarize and inherit systematically and comprehensively the academic thoughts of Mr. Niu and to sum up the clinical experiences, comprehend the academic thought essence, and integrate different elements of the thoughts so that the accumulation of academic ideas and clinical experiences of Mr. Niu for decades can be continuously inherited. Meanwhile, his academic ideas can be constantly carried forward through further summaries and extractions in clinical practices, and positive explorations on the development and innovations over spleen and stomach related diseases will be put forward.(2) Mr. Niu has a unique experience in treating chronic atrophic gastritis. This paper will collect all the clinical materials of chronic atrophic gastritis treatment by Mr. Niu, make statistical analysis and summary based on the collection in a bid to sort out and explore the precious academic thoughts and clinical experiences in treating chronic atrophic gastritis by Mr. Niu, which will be conducive to the future inheritance and promotion. At the same time, the paper attempts to exploit the ways of thinking and approaches to study and inherit the academic thoughts and clinical experiences of well-known Chinese medicine experts, through which the academic thoughts and clinical experiences of the well-known Chinese medicine experts can be inherited and carried forward.ã€methods】(1) This paper makes a systematic review over Mr. Niu Xingdong’s academic inheritance from historical perspective and its theoretical sources, including the master-apprentice process, in-depth study of the traditional Chinese medicine classics, and learning from other Chinese medicine masters with an open mind during the formation of his academic thoughts, and establishing his own unique academic thoughts and clinical experiences in treating spleen and stomach diseases. In the meantime, this paper will summarize the academic theories and thoughts on his treating spleen and stomach diseases via systematic exploration over Mr. Niu Xingdong’s TCM theories.(2) By way of collecting and sorting out the complete prescriptions for117patients in treating chronic atrophic gastritis by my tutor, under the guidance of my tutor, this paper will make summary on his thought patterns, prescription regularity and experiences in treating chronic atrophic gastritis based on frequency analysis and association rules analysis.ã€results】(1) Mr. Niu Xingdong has made complete and in-depth study on Chinese medicine classics and thoughts of other masters. On his treating spleen and stomach disease, he has formed his unique theory based on the inheritance of the achievements by predecessors, yet, he has not been fettered by the accepted theories. Considering basic theories of Chinese medicine as guidelines, he has established academic thoughts of putting emphasis on the holism concept, paying attention to conditioning Qi and blood and giving prescriptions based on the analysis of stasis area.(2) There is a collection of117clinical cases in the the research part with38.46%of stuffiness and42.74%of epigastric pain respectively diagnosed from TCM’s perspective:There are deficiency of spleen and qi stagnation, liver-stomach disharmony, spleen and stomach qi deficiency commonly seen in the syndrome differentiation; and major treatments consist of blood activation, tonitying spleen and benefiting vital energy as well as regulate the flow of vital energy and remove obstruction toit.Salvia miltiorrhiza decoction, Shixiao Powder for Activating blood and dissolving stasis are commonly used; Baoyuan decoction, radix astragali seu hedysari decotion for warming the middle energizer. Sini Powder, Chaihu Shugan Powder(powder of Chinese thorowax root dispersing the depressed liver-energy). Decoction of Small Bupleurum, Ginger sprouting licorice ginseng soup for subduing the adverse flow of Qi Lianpo solution, Yinchenhao Decoction, Huanglianwendan medical broth(coptis gallbladder-warming decotion) for removing the heat and dumpness; for tonifying the spleen and warming the interior Pills assisting the Baoyuan decoction for purifying liver’and reducing heat; Stomach-benefiting soup and yiguanjian(an ever effective decoction for nourishing the liver and kidney) for nourishing the stomach; In total, there are118kinds of medicines used, including commonly used salvia miltiorrhiza. Aeruginous Turmeric Rhizome, Astragalus mongholicus, Codonopsis pilosula. Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata. Jiangbanxia(Ginger sprouting); fried radix paeoniaealba, gizzard pepsin, RhizomaAtractylodis Macrocephalae, Sculellaria barbata, stir-baked rhizoma corydalis. stir-fried Fructus Aurantii.Bletilla, atractylodes macrocephalakoidz, etc. Commonly used drugs compatibilities are salvia miltiorrhiza-Zedoary root, salvia miltiorrhiza-Astragalus mongholicus, Zedoary root and aspongopus-salvia miltiorrhiza and Astragalus mongholicus; Panax pseudoginseng and rhizoma bletillae-salvia miltiorrhiza and Astragalus mongholicus. etc.ã€conclusion】In my tutor’s opinion, etiology and pathogenesis leading to spleen and stomach diseases are more complicated, but the commonly recognized phenomenons are deficiencies symptom(deficiency of vital energy, deficiency of yang and deficiency of yin), dampness symptom(dampness obstructions), endogenous fire (heat or fire originatin from interior), and stasis (blood stasis). From the perspective of pathogenesis. the disorder of Qi activity is attached more importance to in the invasion of chronic atrophic gastritis; while during treatment, the important approaches to deal with the disease are identified as spleen stonitying, vital energy regulating and blood activating, which should be carried out throughout the whole therapeutic process. Mr. Niu has very precious experiences and original insight on curing the disease which produces effective results in clinical cases. |
