CNHS2002report shows that the prevalence of overweigh and obesity in adult population with was22.8%and7.1%. Obesity is not only an independent disease but also correlated closely with many diseases, such as diabetes2, hypertension, coronary heart disease, gallstone, and so on. Experiments found that the phenomenon of leptin resistance has been presented in majority of obese patients and rodent. And some researches suggest an inhibitory regulation at the level of the leptin receptor or downstream signaling pathway. Suppressors-of-cytokine-signaling3(SOCS3), as the major negative factors of JAK/STAT pathway, may be involved in the leptin resistance. Because of the same signal transduction pathway of insulin and leptin, SOCS3may be also involved in the insulin resistance. Our researches measures the levels of blood glucose, leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA with diet induced obesity (DIO) rat as the objects of the research and discuss the influence of liposuction on blood glucose, leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA of DIO rat. Objective To study levels of blood glucose, adiponectin, leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA after large-volume liposuction in nutritional obese male SD rats. Methods The diet induced obesity (DIO) rat model were randomly divided into2experimental groups, which underwent either liposuction or sham surgery. The levels of blood glucose, adiponectin, leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA were measured pre-and postoperatively in all rats undergoing surgery. Results In the liposuction group, blood glucose significantly declined at day1and adiponectin at day1, both of them with no further changes in the following days. Leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA declined at day1after liposuction, returned to baseline levels after day4. There’s no change in all tests in sham surgery group. Conclusions This experimental study has showed that the level of leptin and expression of SOCS3mRNA acutely declined after large-volume liposuction in diet induced obesity rats. And a decrease in blood glucose and an increase in adiponectin were observed. This provided evidence that large-volume liposuction might induce leptin resistance by inhibiting JAK-STAT pathway. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Liposuction, Leptin Resistance, SOCS3, Obesity, Adiponectin | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
