These regulations are related with growth, development and many disease processes, especially cancer processes. Therefore, there is significant to analyze the hotspots of microRNA.Subjective and objective methods such as bibliometric analysis, content analysis, expert interviews and so on were used to get and analyze the hotspots of microRNA, to provide researchers and policy maker valuable information. The hotspots of microRNA include:categories of microRNA and its regulations; diseases categories, diagnosis and treatments; therapeutic uses of microRNA; researches between microRNA and stem cells; common techniques often used on microRNA researches.In conclusion, the research shows that miR-21, let-7and miR-155are the most common microRNA; cancer researchers are the most important part of disease researches; cardiovascular diseases and metabolic diseases are the main contents of non-neoplastic diseases; embryonic stem cells, IPS cells and cancer stem cells are the most common stem cell lines; microRNA is often used as biomarker of diseases, especially in tumor diagnosis; microRNA and oligonucleotides are most commonly used in the prevention and treatment of diseases; investigative and diagnostic technologies are more common used on microRNA researches than treatment techniques.Based on the analysis results on microRNA hotspots, the future developments of microRNA will show the following features:the fusion of microRNA’s regulation networks and other regulatory factors’s should be concerned; microRNA would be the one that can resolve the problems in cancer’s diagnosis and treatments; more translation researches should be done in breast cancers and others; the co-occurrence of microRNA would be a useful method to identify the potential regulation networks; microRNA can get over the problems in stem cells applications; qualities of microRNA research papers and senses of teamwork should be stressed in china. |
