Purpose:To observe the effect of Qibei Fuyuan Yin on myocardial apoptosisand expression of Fas, FasL and Caspase-3in Rats of Hypothyroidism.Material and method:The Rat of Hypothyroidism models were prepared byKolaja method.Healthy wistar Rats were randomly divided into Normal controlgroup,model group, Qibei Fuyuan Yin group, L-T4group. The morphological andultrastructural changes were observed under optical microscope and electronicmicroscope. Apoptotic cells were measured by TUNEL method.The expression ofapoptosis-related proteins Fas, FasL and Caspase-3were detected with immuno-histochemical methods.Results:1. Compared with control group,the apoptosis index and the expression of Fas,FasL and Caspase-3were reached the highest level in the model group2. Qibei Fuyuan Yin group and L-T4group were decreased significantly aftertreatment,and the effectivene ss of Qibei Fuyuan Yin group was better(p<0.05).Conclusion:1. Hypothyroidism causes increase of myocardial cell apoptosis,heightenedexpression of Fas FasL and Caspase-3.2. Qibei Fuyuan Yin might decrease the expression of proteins Fas, FasL andCaspase-3,and inhibit the myocardial apoptosis.
