Temperature Iron Stone Needle Therapy And Traditional Acupuncture Therapy To Treat The Wind Cold Dampness Type Shoulder Coagulation Disorder Clinical Efficacy Research

Background:Scapulohumeral periarthritis is also called "Leakage shoulder wind" or "Frozen shoulder" in traditional Chinese medical science, and it more frequently occurs in the elderly at about50years old, of which females are in the majority. Scapulohumeral periarthritis is a kind of adhesive capsulitis which could make the glenohumeral joints stiff. Main symptoms are as following:the shoulder joints and their peripheral area are painful; the active and passive activities of shoulder joints are decreased in all directions; and bone mineral density is also decreased, except for which there is no other obvious abnormal signs according to imageological examination.This disease is a common one in orthopedics, and there are many clinical treatment plans for it. The western medicine treatment, which more often adopts drug therapy, local blocking and even surgery, gives priority to anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects and to improving the functions of joints; while the traditional Chinese treatment mostly adopts non-operative therapy, in which the curative effect of traditional acupuncture and moxibustion for treating shoulder coagulation disorder is widely accepted, such as electroacupuncture, needle warming moxibustion, etc. It can alleviate the sufferings of the patients, release the conglutination and improve the life quality of the patients. The electrical stone needle therapy is a new method for treating shoulder coagulation disorder. It can improve the function of shoulder joints, has a good analgesic effect and a long-term curative effect.Objective:This topic research, by observing the clinical effects of both electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and conventional acupuncture therapy in the treatment of wind cold dampness type shoulder clotting disease, aims to make it clear of the clinical effects of the former, so as to provide evidences for scientifically evaluating the curative effects of the electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and for popularizing it.Methods:Using the60standard wind cold dampness type shoulder coagulation disorder patients cases collected from July in2012to January in2013by Chinese academy of traditional Chinese medicine sciences Wang Jing hospital in the second section office of joints, and by adopting the method of random number table, the patients are divided into experimental group and control group, at the proportion of1:1. The experimental group use electric iron stone needle temperature treatment, while the control group using traditional acupuncture treatment, and both of the two groups are treated strictly in accordance with the treatment plan.To test its safety, the painful degree of patients with shoulder joint pain before and after the clinical curative effect and treatment, shoulder joint function assessment, and the change degree of shoulder joints’ activity. The assessment of shoulder joint adopt "Constant-Murley " and VAS pain assessment. After the collection of clinical data, Excel is adopted to establish the database, and complete the statistical analysis by using SPSS16.0statistical software.Statistical approach:categorical data is inspected by x2; Compare Means of the two samples, if accord with Gaussian distribution, would be examined by t; if not, then use rank sum test. As for the comparison of themselves before and after, if accord with Gaussian distribution, would be examined by t; if not, then use rank sum test.Result:l.Two groups of cases of sex, age have no statistical significance(P>0.05).There was no significant difference.In the two groups cases begin with pain score comparison results showed there was no significant difference of shoulder joint function assessment(P>0.05). Different age, gender, degree of pain and functional mobility cases in the two groups were balanced distribution, comparable between groups.2.Electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy to treat shoulder clotting disease curative effect is distinct. From shoulder joint overall score index after treatment is more visible, treatment after a course of two way efficient and shoulder functions are improved, the comprehensive efficacy of new stone needle therapy,superior than acupuncture therapy.3.Electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy to treat shoulder coagulation disorder had obvious analgesic effect. Shoulder joint pain index after treatment:the two treatments have good analgesic effect, but after a course of electric stone needle to pain treatment effect of analgesic effect of the disease.superior than acupuncture therapy.4.Electric heating temperature iron stone needle therapy and acupuncture therapy can obviously improve the shoulder shoulder coagulation syndrome concern about the activities of the function. Shoulder joint activity index after treatment:two methods of treatment were good to improve the effect of shoulder joint mobility, but acupuncture of motion to improve effect of the disease than other two treatments work time more slowly. An improved feature,superior than acupuncture therapy.S.The treatment of rear shoulder joint and muscle strength:two groups of treatment had no obvious effect on muscle strength.Conclusion:1.Both electrically heated stone needle therapy and traditional acupuncture therapy are effective to treat the wind cold dampness type of frozen shoulder, ease painfulness and improve joints’mobility. 2.Both electrically heated stone needle therapy and traditional acupuncture therapy have no obvious effect on muscle strength.3.Electrically heated stone needle therapy is superior to traditional acupuncture therapy on its comprehensive curative effect, analgesic effect and on improving shoulder joints’ mobility.4.Electrically heated stone needle therapy is highly safe.
