On Cultivation Of Professional Qualitie Of Police Under The New Times

The Chinese police shouders the important mission to strike at the enemy, to punish criminals,to protect and serve the people and maintain national security as social as social stability. In the new period,the profound changes in rulling ideas in our country set the new higher request to police. The traditional system on cultivation of professional qualitie of police has not been able to meet the requirement of enhancing the police overall quality. It is an urgent task tocomprehensively enhance policemen’s quality in order to form a strong public security force to adaptthe development of our harmonious society.From the perspective of improving policemen’s quality, this paper establish theoretical basis on the cultivation of professional quality of the police in our country at first. Secondly, from the three aspects of constructing harmonious society,respecting and protecting human rights, and harnessing high-tech crimes, puts forward the new demands of the times for police quality. Then this paper draws on the experiencefrom countries and the areas like Britain. USA, Russia and Taiwan. Based on their training experience, the paper analyzes our policemen’s current situations and the existing problems in the cultivation of professional quality of the police. The ultimate goal of the research is to offer some helpful suggestionsto the current reform of the cultivation of police professional quality.
