" Deposit for London Olympics " has been a new slogan for our national athletes and sports. The26th FIBA Asia Championship was the qualifier, which made it the most important match for China before London Olympics with the most pressures. While facing different competitors, trainings and preparations, staffing, the26th FIBA was the closest one to London Olympics. The essay will firstly analyze the performance of China in the semi-final period, and then comes to suggestions and advices after conclusion. The main methods of this essay include literature study, image observation, statistics and logical analysis. Except for the democrats and analysis of six matches in semi-final period, special attention is paid to the matches of China Versus Japan, China Versus South Korea in semi-finals, and China Versus Jordan in the final. The research results are as follows:1)From the aspect of defense, the most frequently used tactics was half expand and pressing defense. And it turned out to be helpful and efficient. But joint defense and combined defense were not used very often, which made the whole defense too single, and showed the enemy unexpected advantages.2) China has done a great job in offense, especially in tactics of pressing offense. The players all had a clear knowledge of position and direction, so that the success rate was all right. But the performance on combination of offense and defense was not enough. The first reason was single way of playing. This would lead to exposing disadvantages to opponents. While opponents were combination defensing, China always couldn’t get positive control. Most of the offenses were ended by perimeters’difficult shootings. Secondly, passings were not success, especially from exterior to interior; they were not strong and secret enough. Meanwhile, the passings from strong side to weak side were not exact, either. Theses made up disadvantages of China. But while facing all-court pressing, China has never showed their fear. Failure rate was low because of their offense. This has been the biggest change after Bob Donewald became the coach of the national team. He not only taught players how to get through all-court pressing, but also taught them how to get over the fear of all-court pressing.
