Since the reform and open policy, our society experience profound reform, gradually from the traditional society to the modern society, human nature win the unprecedented liberation, the people who has the independent personality, rights consciousness and the interests of the individual citizen increasingly become the core of the transformation.The cultivation of citizens become the contemporary education goal;At the same time, along with the socialist market economic system and the development of the socialist democratic politics, an independent civil society in China is rising quickly, the development of civil society in the activity subject-social citizens also set the new request.Based on the western civil society theory, this paper tries to get beyond from western classical studies of civil society, according to our country’s social reality, primarily in the country-the separation of civil society theory, this paper discusses the connotation of the citizens of the society and spirit citizens of the society as citizens in civil society identity of requirements, in order to achieve justice, equality of public life and actively participate in social and public affairs, in its body embodies the rights, participation and public spirit of unity, individuality and the unity of the public. In order to better cultivate the qualified citizens of the society, the author tries to construct the society of the connotation of citizens’stereoscopic structure from citizen knowledge, citizen consciousness, and citizen moral and citizen behavior.At the same time, the school as the citizen education’s main places, the construction of citizen education school society plays an important role in the whole social citizens training system, so through the investigation and the analysis of the primary and middle school students’current situation, in citizens knowledge, citizen consciousness, and citizen moral and civic behaviors, the author thinks that our school social citizens construction should put the subjective as the prerequisite, the ability of public participation as the key, public spirit as the core; teach the students subjectivity education,participatory learning education, and virtue education from the theoretical knowledge and practical participate, two aspects to social citizen education.
