The discovery learning method which is applied in senior high school Chinese readingteaching is a beneficial exploration in the high school language reading teaching mode. Thediscovery learning method is a change in the past emphasis on learning by rote, mechanicaltraining, instead makes students desire to learn, achieving the fundamental reform of Chineseteaching and learning of middle school students. But a new study way needs to go through aprocess of continuous exploration, reform and improvement. The current teaching of readingdiscovers learning is still not mature, or perfect. There still exists many problems, seriouslyrestricting the learning effect. Whether in theory or in practice, how to make the discoverylearning method effective in Chinese reading teaching of high school is an important subjectwhich the current high school Chinese reading teaching should be complemented and refined.This paper is based on the application in teaching practice of the high school Chinesereading teaching. Based on Bruner’s “discovery learning” theory, from the practical research andapplication research, further study finds the specific application of learning in reading teachingin senior high school. Specifically, from the analysis of the discovery learning in high schoolChinese teaching of reading, analyse the current high school Chinese reading teaching, discoverlearning problems and explore the crux of the problem with the guide of “discovery learning”theory. By the teaching practice research, specifically explore the language reading teaching inhigh school, the concept steps and strategies to explore a set of scientific, effective Chinesereading teaching discovery learning mechanism and strategy and improve the performance ofreading teaching. Therefore, this paper is divided into five parts:The first is the instruction of the discovery learning of Chinese reading in senior highschools. It mainly involves the connotation and theoretical basis of learning, the characteristicsof discovery learning method of Chinese reading teaching in high school and the necessity ofhigh school Chinese reading teaching. Through the review, we will have a comprehensiveunderstanding of the high school Chinesc reading teaching discovery learning in order to carryout this study better.The second is to find the problems and crux of learning in reading teaching in senior high school. That the discovery learning method is applied in senior high school Chinese readingteaching has injected vigor and vitality to the teaching of reading. But at present, the discoverylearning still exists many problems in reading teaching in senior high school. In this part, throughthe questionnaire and teaching practice, analyse the problems and the current crux of high schoolChinese reading teaching to set an antidote against the disease and to provide the basis for theimplementation strategy of the teaching of Chinese reading in high school.The third is the concept of reading teaching in senior high school. The discovery learningmethod is a reasonable, scientific and efficient way of learning. To make the high school Chinesereading teaching discovery learning scientific and efficient, teachers should be first requiredto update ideas, change mind, set up the concept of student-oriented and teacher-guided, buildthe concept of reading teaching and the view of students’autonomous learning mode.The fourth is the steps of learning in reading teaching in senior high school. The discoverylearning method needs to follow certain steps to implement the teaching of Chinese reading inhigh school, specifically includes four steps: autonomous learning, discovery by communicating,summarizing and extending. But we should not be limited to this step, shackling ourselves andrestricting the students, but should design teaching flexibly, scientificly and artisticly.The last one is the strategy of reading in senior high school. In order to make the highschool Chinese reading teaching discovery learning scientific and efficient and improve thequality and efficiency of teaching of Chinese reading in high school, this part develops specificimplementation strategies from students’ discovery, teachers’ guidance and learning evaluation.Try to explore a set of scientific, effective Chinese reading teaching discovery learning strategiesand mechanisms so as to improve the teaching of reading performance.In short, the discovery learning method is the one that truly embodies the concept of thenew curriculum and efficient, open and dynamic learning style. The application in the highschool Chinese reading teaching will make the teaching of Chinese reading into “there is a wayout”.
