Huize Pb-Zn ore deposit which is located the southwest edge of the Yangzi plateform and east of the Xikang-Yunnan axis, belonging to the Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou lead-zinc-silver polymetallic mine region that is deeply controlled by the Xiaojiang deep fault, the Zhaotong-Qujing concealed fault and Shuicheng-Ziyun fault. It is mainly composed of three ore deposits by the Kuang-shanchang, Qi-linchang and Yin-changpo. This deposit is controlled by the NE trending tectonic metallogenic belt of Jin-niuchang-Kuang-shanchang. But the Kuang-shanchang deposit, Qi-linchang deposit and Yin-changpo deposit are separately controlled by the NE trending Kuang-shanchang fault zones, Qi-linchang fault zones and Yin-changpo fault zones.The deposit has its own unique metallogenic geologcial characteristics, mainly as following six areas:(l)high ore grade (Zn+Pb>25wt%, up to50%wt%), the range of mineralization is highly concentrated, mineralized area is<10km;(2) enrichment in Ag and Ge, In, Ga, Cd, Tl and so on trace elements:(3) ore composition and ore fabric are relatively simple;(4) simple wall-rock alteration, mainly manifested as carbonatation, pyritization and a small amount silicification;(5)the prominent feature of ore deposits is controlled by the structure and lithology;(6) ore body have more obvious the mineral assemblage banding.This article based on the detailed study of the regional geological background, geological features and ore characteristics, mine fault structure and tectonic ore-controlling characteristics, summed up the ore-controlling characteristics of Huize Pb-Zn deposit and pointed out the mine area to prospecting marks. Through a lot of field geological investigation and indoor analysis, the studies have shown that:(1) Deposit ore-controlling structure feature is apparent. Kuang-shanchang fault is the first level structure in this area(ore-transmitting structure), NE trending interlaminar fracture which is oblique Kuang-shanchang fault and Qi-linchang fault is the second structure(Mineral storage structure), which controlled formation and occurrence of the ore-body, NW-trending faults is an important ore-controlling structure(Ore matching structure). (2) Through the detailed structure observation, all kinds of fracture mechanics properties are identified and five tectonic periods are divided, early hercynian, early Yanshanian, middle-late Yanshanian, late Yanshanian and Hymalayan period.(3) Studies suggest that the structure of the Kuang-shanchang deposit and Qi-linchang deposit is double thrust nappe structure system, for the thrust nappe structure main sliding system influence and the formation of ductile deformation zone, namely, thrust fault upper plate drag anticline development area is to find ore prediction of important tectonic location.(4) Through the analysis of the characteristics of the ore-controlling structure of the mining area, combined with the geological, geophysical and remote sensing images, geochemical data, delineated the two mine prospecting forecast target:the No.1orebody deep target area of Kuang-shanchang mining and Da-shuijing target area.This is the focus of the next phase of prospecting area.
