In this paper, the main research object is kaolin rock in datong coalfield late Paleozoic Carboniferous Permian coal, selecting xiaoyu mining area and tashan mining area different layer bit of kaolin rock samples for test analysis, researching the occurrence law of kaolin rock in datong mining area、the mineral composed of xiaoyu mining area and tashan mining area different layer kaolin rock、the crystal ordered degrees of kaolinite and the quality of kaolin rock.The main conclusions as follow:1、Datong coal measures kaolin rock mainly occurs in the taiyuan group and under the shanxi group, amounting to20layers.Mainly occurs seven layers in the vertical and they are the seam floor of9#coal, seam floor of8#coal, coal seam floor of5#coal,5#coal (3-5#of coal) partings between the end of3coal, the seam floor of2-3#coal between the top plate, seam floor of Shan4#coal.2、Through the analysis of small valley and Tashan areas included the microscopic identification result, and shows different kaolin rock composition of each high ridge all contains a small amount of carbon. The2#coal backplane, and3coal roof of kaolin rock in xiaoyu mining area Taiyuan Group main by kaolinite composed, content can up98%above; Shan43coal backplane and5#coal clip kaolin rock in xiaoyu mining area Taiyuan Group with very few powder sand level quartz debris;5coal backplane kaolin rock in xiaoyu mining area Taiyuan Group British debris content in15%-35%; and8#kaolin rock in xiaoyu mining area Taiyuan Group British debris content more high, up35%-40%. The3#coal roof of kaolin rock in Tashan mining area Taiyuan Group main by kaolinite composition, content may up96%;3-5#coal backplane kaolin rock in Tashan mining area Taiyuan Group kaolinite content accounted for92%; Shan4coal backplane and3-5coal backplane (2) kaolin rock are for sand mass kaolin rock, quartz debris content for30%-35%;8#coal backplane kaolin rock carbon mass content higher, up to40%.3、Through the analysis of XRD, DTA and infrared spectrum and the experimental results show that the kaolinite is ordered in the roof of3#coal clastic Kaolinite in xiaoyu mine Taiyuan group、the seam floor of2#coal wormlike Kaolinite and the seam floor of Shan4#coal dense like Kaolinite; the kaolinite is more disordered in5#coal Measures partings dense like Kaolinite and the seam floor of5(1) sand Kaolinite; sandy Kaolinite of the seam floor of5#(2) and silty Kaolinite of the seam floor of8coal is disordered kaolinite; the3#coal roof rough Crystal worms shaped kaolin rock of kaolinite for height ordered kaolinite;3-5#floor of (1) within debris high ridge rock of kaolinite for ordered kaolinite;3-5#floor of (2) sand mass high ridge rock in the kaolinite for more disorder; and2coal backplane micro-Crystal high ridge rock, and mountain4coal backplane sand mass high ridge rock and8#coal backplane mud mass high ridge rock of kaolinite for disorder.4、With kaolin rock quality evaluation system on this two a mining area different layer bit kaolin rock quality for evaluation, results indicates that, xiaoyu mining area the layer bit kaolin rock quality sort for3#coal roof high ridge rock samples, and2#coal backplane kaolin rock samples is quality, Shan4#coal backplane kaolin rock samples, and5#coal clip waste kaolin rock samples is good,5#coal backplane (1) kaolin rock samples, and5#coal backplane (2) kaolin rock samples and8#coal backplane kaolin rock samples quality is poor; tashan mining area the layer bit kaolin rock quality sort for3High quality rock samples of coal roof, coal3-5#base (1) high,3-5#of coal floor rock sample (2) high rock samples are good, Shan4#backplane,2#coal floor rock sample and8#of coal floor rock quality is poor;5、Datong coal field of different layers of kaolin rock sources may be acid magmatic rocks in the source region of the land north of the basin. They follow the experience of intense chemical weathering, become kaolinite provenance. Of course, this does not rule out carrying high pyroclastic rock formations provide the source.
