Drilling data, the most basic geological material, is the data source of drawing thegeological maps, estimating mine resource and3D modeling of mine geological, therefore,it’s very important to create accurate and standard drilling database. The collection, processing and mapping of the drilling data showed a number of disadvantages, such aslarge data amount, tedious process, time-consuming and error-prone, bringing greatdifficulty to the traditional manual processing. With the wide application of computertechnology in the field of geology, computer-assisited design instead of manual labor hasbecome the inevitable trend of development. Since1990, there have appeared a series ofsoftware of data processing and mapping at home and abroad. One is MapGIS softwarelaunched by Zondy Cyber Group, which is the world’s sole build type GIS data centerintegrated development platform. This system adopts the service-oriented design conceptand multi-layer system structure, realizing the entity-oriented spatial and their relationshipdata organization and, the efficient storage and indexing of mass spatial data, the creation oflarge-scale multidimensional dynamic spatial information database, the three dimensionalentity modeling and analysis, and supporting massive and distributed national spatialinfrastructure construction. Another is Surpac software launched by Gemcom SoftwareInternational company. It is a large-scale three-dimensional digital mining software, whichfully integrated geological exploration information management, orebody resource model, mine production planning and design, mine surveying and engineering quantity calculationand production planning. These softwares have made great progress in data processing andmapping, however, the obtained data format and the geological map does not conform tothe specifications of geological industry in our country, therefore, it is imperative to takeadvantage of computer to data processing system and automatic mapping softwaredevelopment. In this work, through comprehensive analysis of the mine drilling original data, datadictionary required in mapping was established and standard database was designedfollowing the database format required in the drawing of histogram and profile. Byadopting Visual Studio2008as development platform and C#as development language, thedevelopment of geological data processing system has been realized, which can make theoriginal drilling data satisfy the requirements of the standard data and improve the dataprocessing efficiency and accuracy.Automatic mapping system of drilling histogram andprofile can customize the histogram drawing template as required, and parameter setting and process analysis of the pattern drawing, layering drawing, curve drawing and drillingtrajectory projection.Based on the platform of Visual Studio2008, combined with thestandard drilling database of Access and the development language of VB.NET,under withthe graphic display platform of AutoCAD which is not only operation simple and easy toachieve human-computer interaction, but also providing a strong functionality of secondarydevelopment,it achieves a software that automatic mapping of the drilling histogram andcross-sectional view which are the format of DWG,from the drilling data to the standards ofour industry.Verified by the drilling data of the area of Nihe iron ore deposits located in Luzongore concentration in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the results showthat the system is stable, drilling data and graphics obtained are accurate.Besides, themapping is speedly, and graphics which are generated are beautiful and harmonious. So, Itprovides support for the mine data processing and the automatic drawing geological maps.
