The paper analyses the type, distribution, deformation and stability-influence factors of theunstable slope, based on its background. Then the causes of deformation and potential hazards are analysed.The limit equilibrium method is used to analyse and evaluate the stability of the slope, with calculating itsstability coefficient. Numerical simulation on the stability with FLAC2Dsoftware can intuitively reflect thedistribution of stress and displacement of the slope with the pictures. It is concluded that the slope is stablein the natural condition and basic stable in the continuous heavy rainfall condition. The stress concentratesin the toe of slope, and the displacement points to the direction of obliquely downward. Slope protection isessential according to the relevant standard.
