The paper takes Hutouya Mining Area of Qinghai as the research field and there are10profiles and one test profile in the field. By analyzing the area and the geological background, the author uses traditional iterative method, cumulative frequency method and multi-fractal method to obtain the threshold of element geochemistry, and conducts effective evaluation for the exploration geochemistry of the test profile through analyzing the characteristic values of data and extracting the information of geochemical anomaly. The research results show that the traditional iterative method is quite complicated and greatly affected by subjective factors; the cumulative frequency method only puts emphasis on the frequency distribution of element content values while ignores the information of their spatial distribution; and the multi-fractal method overcomes the defects of the subjective restrictions of the traditional iterative method using K value and gives full consideration to the distribution frequency and spatial distribution of elements, therefore acquiring more objective results. It is obvious from the effective evaluation of the PD2test profile that exploration by primary and secondary halos can both clearly and distinctly reflect abnormal phenomena, especially at ore spots, faults and shuttered zones. Electroadsorption anomalies have good fitness and congruity, reflecting exactly their distribution positions and mineralization trend and consequently improving the effectiveness of ore-searching and the precision of blind ore bodies. Most of hydrocarbon anomalies are distributed near the sub-points of the surfaces beside the orebodies. There are differences of geochemical characteristics in adsorbed-hydrocarbon constituents, but they mainly correspond to the sections of mineralizing enrichment. The four methods reflect that the anomalies are high near the known ore belts, which shows those methods well reflect the positions of mineral occurrences at Hutouya Mining Area and indicates the positions of blind ore bodies. Therefore, with a certain degree of experimental effects, they are of guiding significance to searching deep blind ore bodies, which demonstrates that it is effective to conduct method-valid tests on PD2profile.The author makes the element content values of primary halos and secondary halos at the northern and southern parts coincide with each other through data normalization to acquire the fitness of the anomaly peaks of the halos. Therefore, they prove the effectiveness of ore-searching methods for primary and secondary halos.
