Abstract:Transient electromagnetic method is a kind of Time domain and artificial source electromagnetic detection method. Since it has strong anomaly response, simple form, and strong ability to distinguish, TEM plays a huge role not only in mineral exploration, groundwater exploration, engineering survey, and other areas of the land, but also in air and marine geophysical detection. In a word, TEM is one of the most promising electromagnetic detection methods.The depth range from2to100meters underground is still blind area. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to develop a kind of high speed and high precision data acquisition system, making full use of the TEM early signal and its shallow detection ability. This paper analyzes the current development of the transient electromagnetic instrument and data acquisition system at home and abroad. According to the character-istics of TEM signal, system parameters have been confirmed. In the me-antime, the related devices of this system, such as controller; AD conver-ter, amplifier, and the system bus have been confirmed, too. The implem-ents of overall design and each module of this system have been given, including the controlling module of LTC6911, the controlling module of ADS1675, the inside FIFO module of ADS1675, and the interface modu-le of CY7C68013.Debugging, simulation and performance testing of the designed sys-tem have been carried out. The result shows that the designed24bit data acquisition system can realize correct sampling in the rate of4Mhz, achi-eving the desired effect.
