Ore Prospecting Perspective Of PGE,North Qilian Mountain Of Qinghai Province

North Qilian Mountains are the most important platinum deposit outputs andprospecting potential area in Qinghai province. Lots of prospecting work had beencarried out on black metal, multi metal, non-metal, and gold,But there are very fewprospecting work about platinum (group) minerals, evaluation workaboutmineralization scale, distribution, metallogenic geological conditions, exceptlittle information about prospecting platinum (group) deposit in ultrabasic rocks, andthere is no breakthrough for platinum (group) depositin black rock series in northQilian metallogenic belt.The temporal and spatial distribution, metallogenic characteristics of platinumgroup depositin north Qilian metallogenic belt were systematically studied based onsufficient research on previous data. Right now, there are some mineralizationinformation about platinum (group) at Yushigou, Sairigongqiegounao,Liaobantaigounao, Shalaheyelutai, Ladong, Sancha and Caodaban area.The metallogenic types of PGE deposit in China were studied. The metallogenictypes of PGE deposit are as follows: magmatic type platinum deposit, hydrothermalassociated type platinum deposit, supergene type platinum deposit.We pay specialattention on black rock series deposit, combined with the metallogenic geologicalconditions, we reckon the possibility of prospecting similar deposit in north Qilianmountain.The mineralization potential of platinum group element in north Qilianmetallogenic belt was studied, there are five prospecting target areas: Yelutaiprospecting target area of platinum group (A type), Yushigou prospecting target areaof platinum group (B type), Zalayahuo prospecting target area of platinum group (C type), Lalonggongma prospecting target area of platinum group (C type), Tianpenheprospecting target area of platinum group (C type).The prospecting experience for platinum group deposit of domestic andoverseasand typical ore deposits were studied, the metallogenic geological conditionsand ore controlling factors were known, the metallogenic regularities weresummarized,all of these work provide a reference for platinum prospecting work inQinghai province.
