The bauxite Also known as alumina, which is an aluminum-rich rock mineralchemical or biochemical. Its main component is alumina.The hydrated alumina withimpurities is a earthy minerals. Insoluble in water, soluble in sulfuric acid, sodiumhydroxide solution.It is mainly used for industrial aluminum smelting, manufacturingrefractories. Bauxite theoretical composition of Al2O365.4, H2O34.6. Common isomorphicsubstitution of Fe and Ga, Fe2O3up to2%, Ga2O3up to0.006%. In addition, The bauxiteoften containing impurities CaO, MgO, SiO2, etc. Bauxite is relatively concentrateddistribution in China, and in large and medium-sized deposits in the majority. We known alot bauxite rich countries, Chinese bauxite resources of approximately3.7billion tons,ranking top in the world. China currently has18provinces proved rich in bauxite resources,especially in Henan province.The Xiaolongmiao Bauxite is one of high-quality aluminum mineral in Henan beds,the mineral layer endows with to save in top anthracites the department is originally theBenxi formation in the upper part. Many theoretics and methods—sedimentology,geochemistry and mineralogy were used to conduct detailed research,such as distributionand existence regulations, to the appearance of the mineral body, distribute, thickness,form and get in touch with the relation; mineral composition, chemistry component, thecontent variety, mineral structure, the mineral natural type, the industry type andmineralization mechanism of bauxite. And pointed out to seek the mineral direction.Mineral component of Xiaolongmiao bauxite in the researched area was dominated bykaolinite and boehmite, this is the Illite, the little mineral contain green mire stone, red ironmine, Titanium mine, rutile etc.Its primary chemistry component is mainly include A1203、Si02、Fe203、Fe0,and some TiO2、MgO、S、CaO、Na2O、K20. The sedimentologyenvironment influence of this area bauxite greatly, relate to with ancient geography closely,the mineral body thickness variety compare greatly. During the period of themineralizing,the surroundings of studying are is continental facies. The aggraded materialswho have experienced long time efflorescence and leaching have corrosion and eluviatedthe alkali metals,alkaline earth, silicon, iron and so on. The schwerl A1203is keeped down.So this condition made the enrichment of the aluminum and the bauxite is formed.
