Hyperspectral imaging technology is a photoelectric detection and recognition technology which is the combination of spectroscopy and optical imaging. The prismatic component is the core part of the hyperspectral imaging system. The quality of spectral imaging system is directly determined by the performance of prismatic component. The acousto-optic tunable filter(AOTF) is a newfashioned prismatic element uses of acoustooptic effects in anisotropic medium. A hyperspectral zoom optical system based on AOTF is designed to improve the efficiency of detection of the hyperspectral imaging system in this paper.Hyperspectral zoom optical system is composed of the front zoom system, collimation system and the converging imaging system. Integrated applications can achieve the purpose of the overall zoom in actually. In order to obtain the highest energy utilization, we set the aperture stop on the front zoom system to image at the center of AOTF. The reasonable indicator parameters are calculated based on the AOTF size, the request incident angle and corresponding relation with subsystems. Considering of the reasonable allocation of the hyperspectral zoom optical system MTF and the human visual threshold, this paper proposed the evaluation index of the intergrated system.According to the specific indicators parameters, three subsystems are respectively optimized. Then, hyperspectral zoom optical system is assembled. The initial structure of the pre-zoom system is calculated by the object-image transform principle. Then the system is optimized. The initial structure of Collimation system and convergence imaging system is calculated by the scaling principle. Then the system is optimized. The results of design meet the requirements of the use of hyperspectral imaging system. The imaging quality reached the design target in each zoom position and wavelength. Finally, according to the dynamic optical image stabilization theory, the cam curve of hyperspectral zoom optical system can be fitted by MATLAB software.
