Heritage is the legacy relics and ruins of the historical development of historical,artistic or scientific. However, with most of the damage over time, artifacts exist invarying degrees of anthropogenic and natural. The protection of Heritage is anessential research, highly technical work in study of Archaeological and culturalheritage.Using three-dimensional laser scanning,which does not touch the relics,can getaccurate surface texture information technology in cultural heritage preservationproject, so it is a big leap in the field of heritage conservation. With the developmentof3D laser scanning technology, the use of3D laser scanning technology forthree-dimensional information heritage to collect the high quality data, and theamount of data is increasing. Faced with such a large amount of data engineeringheritage, the traditional file mode simply using all kinds of methods of datamanagement has increasingly shown its shortage.This paper,which is based on Dazu Rock Carvings Avalokitesvara protectionprojects, analyzed the massive data file system management of the drawbacks of theproject data acquisition and data processing technology, which is currently used in theproject, summarized the simple use of point cloud is insufficient in spatial databasemanagement project, introducd details of the development and spatial datamanagement system framework, combined with point cloud data, texture data, modeldata, true3D model data, orthophoto data, DLG, characteristics and relationshipsprofile data, then proposed a new way to the heritage engineering data managementsolutions witch data is provide in the three-dimensional laser scanning technology.This paper mainly completed the following tasks:(1) Designed the spatial data management system framework that file-databasedata management model to manage the various types of spatial data which is managedin file system of the Dazu Rock Carvings Avalokitesvara protection projects. Thissystem framework is designed to manage spatial data in file management systemwhile their attribution and relationship is managed by file management system. Forthe convenience of query and storage, all kinds of data under file management isstorage by the designed structure and naming by principles.(2) Designed entity-relationship model, using the large commercial relationaldatabase management system-Oracle to storage the various types of spatial data’s attribute information and spatial data’s relationship. In order to achieve the filestructure in the database, designing file structure models and data collection column,which can make statistical data collection of the project. In addition,designing storedprocedures and triggers based on spatial data’s relationship in the database formproving of data storage capabilities.(3) Developed a database management system independently to get the data ofthe engineering and update the file structure. Database can combine with the spatialdata types and the file name, finished the query of spatial data attribute. It also canquery a spatial data’s ralated saptial data which is processed form or processed to.Designing the data storage module, to realize intelligent storage and management ofengineering data.
