Tobacco baking is an artificial control process in order to play the goodtraits of tobacco. Tobacco baking is an important link in production of high qualitytobacco, but at this stage tobacco baking measurement and control technology isgenerally lagging behind in remote tobacco origin. The method is low-accuracy,single-function, poor-control and the quality of tobacco baking is difficult to beensured. In view of problems of the equipment in intensive barn, based on the presentsituation at home and abroad, the temperature and humidity measurement controlsystem in baking barn was studied. Main research contents are as follows:(1) According to the three-stage flue-cured tobacco method, the baking temperatureand humidity changes in tobacco baking were studied. Based on the present situationand defects of temperature humidity methods generally taken in tobacco baking, aprogram of real-time leaf surface temperature monitoring was proposed, a fuzzycontrol scheme was designed to improve traditional control method and thesimulation analysis was carried out.(2) A monitor can simultaneously measuring tobacco real-time surface temperature inthe baking process and the environment temperature and humidity indoor wasdesigned. The hardware part included mechanical fixtures, hardware circuit andinstrument panel. The software part included the MCU and PC software. Theperformance of the instrument was evaluated. Software compensation method wasused to eliminate the error of the monitor. The uncertainty of the instrument was0.2℃and the evaluation of the performance met the design target.(3) Experiments were carried out in the process of tobacco baking. The monitor wasused to record the leaf surface temperature and the environment temperature andhumidity indoor in the whole process. The results found that, the monitor exactly reflects the changes of the tobacco leaf. Temperature changes are consistent withpractical experience. The control accuracy is improved and fuzzy control method ishelpful to the tobacco baking.
