In recent years, with the rapid economic development of China and the gradualimplementation of the western development strategy, economic of region along theYangtze River grows fastly. The quick growth of the Gross National Product (GDP) inthe upper reaches of the Yangtze River region, especially after the municipality ofChongqing, leading the southwest region, promotes the development of the upperreaches of the Yangtze River shipping industry. Meanwhile, after the impoundment ofthe Three Gorges Project achieve175-155-145m successfully, significantly improvedthe navigation conditions of the Channel of the Yangtze River from Yichang toChongqing, and the maintenance of water depth from Luzhou to Chongqing rised to3.5m from1.8m in2005.Thus, the navigation level also reached class I from class IIIdirectly after the impoundment, which greatly increased the capacity of shipping andpromoted economic development along the Yangtze River. After the impoundment of the Three Gorges Reservoir, the navigation conditionsgreatly improved, which promoted the throughput of dangerous cargo, the ship trafficof dangerous cargo and the number of dangerous cargo wharf dramatically, and theshipping vessels tend to develop large-scale. Moreover, the rising water level in thereservoir area makes water flow slower, contaminated zone wider, water purificationcapacity weaken, especially oil and other chemical contaminants. The reservoir hasabundant animal and plant resources and fishery resources, in which manywater-intakes are widely distributed. Should a major oil spill accident occur, it willcause catastrophic damage to the coastal ecology and environment. The economic lossis difficult to measure. This paper focused on the oil-spill behavior in the Reservoir of the Jialing Riverand the Yangtze River, established a hydrodynamic model and an oil-spill model tostudy the drift-diffusion mechanism of oil spill, analyzed oil physical and chemicalproperties, forecasted the drift-diffusion trajectory, and provided a reference for theemergency rescue measures formulated. The first chapter describes the background of the thesis, the main content and theresearch status; The second chapter describes an overview of the Three Gorgesreservoir area in Chongqing, the fairway change, distribution of dangerous goodsthroughput and dangerous Pier determine the sensitive area of the oil spill; The thirdchapter assesses spill risk under the jurisdiction of Chongqing Maritime Bureau quantitatively; The forth chapter builds hydrodynamic model and oil spill model toanalyze the impact of velocity, oil spills, oil, wind and place of the oil spill on the oilslick trajectory; The fifth chapter is summary and outlook.Aimed at combating pollution accident and reducing the pollution damage to theenvironment, the pollution accident preparedness and emergency response work ofguiding is significant, which helps the relevant departments quickly and efficiently torespond to sudden pollution accidents and reduce the harm caused by the pollutants tothe surrounding environment and the health of residents.
