| The common feature of the traditional research methods on desulfurization and denitration could be concluded as:one technique and the set of its specialized equipment can only remove one kind of pollutant. All these methods seem to trigger a variety of problems, such as the large investment, high operating costs and high land occupancy. With the developing requirements of environmental protection as well as the emission standards, the increasing directions of pollution control, and the extending chain of flue-gas pollution control, firms would not able to afford the higher environmental costs. Based on the current situation, therefore, facilitating the development of new techniques of multi-function and integration can be applied to tackle the issue of flue gas. The simultaneous desulfurization and denitration in coal-fired flue gas has recently become the central issue.Based on the urea solution, added with KMnO4as oxidant, this paper compares the best efficiency of desulfurization and denitration. In particular, it studies simultaneous desulfurization and denitration in the small scale of the spray tower device. According to the comprehensive consideration of test result and the working condition of practical project, the optimal operating parameters are confirmed--the concentration of urea and KMnO4are66.7mmol/L and1.582mmol/L, respectively; the L/G is20L/m3; the reaction temperature is50℃. Under the optimal test condition, the efficiency of desulfurization and denitration could retain99.6%and61.0%respectively.Via the contrast test, the reaction mechanism is also analyzed, and the possible reactions as well as the overall chemical reaction equations are all presented. Through calculating the molar reaction enthalpy, molar formation Gibbs function, constant of reaction rate and the partial pressure of NO and SO2, the availability of the simultaneous desulfurization and denitration is in evidence.The experiment results show, the method of simultaneous desulfurization and denitration by urea and KMnO4compound absorbent, which has a high efficiency of desulphurization and denitration, yet with low-cost absorbent, plain equipment, simple operation, and overall acceptable costs,seems to be recognized as high theoretical significance in the further application. |
