Mining equipments is used in open-pit mine, water conservancy and hydropowerconstruction site transport rocks, the residue in a kind of special vehicles, its dead weight isbig, bad working condition, road grade, turning more and more poor road conditions, drivingspeed is low, frequent safety accidents, on the performance of vehicle control put forwardhigher requirements. Steering system as an important part of vehicle, the vehicles running in astraight line or manipulation of the steering actuator, its performance is good or bad directlyaffects the vehicle’s handling stability and driving safety. Therefore, study of mine dump trucksteering system has important engineering significance.In this paper the research object forcarrying capacity of70t type TL87wide-body miningdump truck steering system. Mining equipments to technology at home and abroad is brieflyintroduced in this paper development survey, research status and research contents in thispaper; Summarized the classification of steering system and steering performancerequirements; Comparison and analysis the five70t at home and abroad mining dump trucksteering system technical characteristics; In turn downhill running condition according to thevehicle steering heavy phenomenon generated in the steering system of the improved scheme,selection of element to the steering hydraulic system; Design the engine flameout stateemergency steering hydraulic system; Steering hydraulic system was established based on theAMESim simulation software in the steering gear, priority valve, hydraulic cylinder, reversingvalve and other components of the simulation model, and set up emergency steering of fullyhydraulic steering system with mechanical hydraulic power steering system simulation modeland simulation model; Four kinds of typical working conditions of actual simulated analysis,performance analysis results show that the design of the steering system has reached thedesign requirements.
