With the development and advancement of economic and technologies, therequirement progressively increases for higher qualities and better processing of cold strip.The advantages of continuous annealing line, fast, efficient and high-quality make it be themain direction of development of cold-rolled production process. Vertical ContinueAnnealing Furnace (VCAF) is the key process equipme nt in the continuous annealing line.The key technology is controlling the temperature of strip in annealing process if bettermechanical characters of strip are obtained. We have to found the theory math models forimproving the continuous annealing technology attaining and ability self-determination theoryanalyzing. The thesis perfectly analyses the characters of heat transfer system in VCAF andbrings a set of theory research model including in process, strip and equipment parameters. TheVCAF simulation platform is developed based on the theory research model.Firstly, thesis perfectly analyses the structural arrangement, process characteristicsand heat transfer process in VCAF, and proposes the unit method for modeling. The mainmodels of the thesis consist of3contents: the calculating temperature models of strip onconvection and radiation heat transfer in Preheating Section and Cooling Section, thecalculating temperature models of strip on radiation heat transfer in Heating Section,Soaking Section and Overaging Section and the calculating temperature model of furnace.Then combining with the analysis of annealing process, the simulation system for thecalculation of the strip’s temperature has been established. Basing on the theory researchmodels and simulation system, the VCAF simulation platform is developed with C#onVisual Studio2008. The simulation platform consists of3functions: the calculation ofpreset values, the calculation of ability and the temperature tracking of strip.Finally, the practicality and effectiveness of the VCAF simulation platform is verifiedby simulation analysis. The results from model calculation are in agreement with thesimulation results by Fluent. The simulation platform application results showed that itcould meet the requirements of production control and design. This simulation platformprovides a very convenient auxiliary analysis test platform for VCAF trial design.
