Deep hole honing technology is the most effective precision machining technologywhich is widely used in modern machinery manufacturing industry. Currently, deep holehoning is developing toward a more precise, more effective, more intelligent numericalcontrol direction, while there are many problems in domestic deep hole honing equipment.For instance, the accuracy is not high and the level of numerical control is low. In thispaper, author tries to develop a high precison CNC system of deep hole honing matchine,in study of the honing equipment NC system.The paper presents the basic strategy, which is to improve the honing process bychanging the motion control strategy after identified the key issues that affect theprocessing efficiency and accuracy through analyzing deep hole honing process. In-depthanalysis of the grinding head reciprocating motion, the spindle rotational motion, and thewheelhead feed movement characteristics and control principles, a improved reciprocatingmotion algorithm of acceleration and deceleration control is proposed. As well as based onthe detection of the spindle torque, a motion controller to control the amount of feed ofhoning machine is designed. For the characteristics of horizontal deep hole honingequipment, the hardware of numerical control system select ARM Cortex-M4architectureSTM32F4as the main control chip and the software select C/OS-II as the real-timeoperating system, which greatly improved the reliability of the honing matchine NCsystem. Finally, through honing experiments of the model machine, we can verify that thehoning equipment CNC system developed in this article meet the requirements ofhigh-precision honing condition and significantly improved the processing quality andefficiency.This research has some theoretical significance and application value to enhance themarket competitiveness of the products, and to improve the level of hole honingtechnology, at the same time, it has a certain reference for the NC transformation ofhoning equipment.
