| The most important part of the engine’s structure is undoubtedly the cylinder block,which is the place where the engine output power is fuel gas combustion,explosion,compression,piston reciprocating motion work.Engine cylinder bores have extremely high requirements for machining accuracy and must meet full dimensional,form,and roughness requirements.Therefore,the final machining process of the engine cylinder bore becomes the most important process of the entire engine manufacturing process.The current flat-top honing is one of the world’s most advanced honing process.Compared with ordinary honing,the microscopic morphology of the bore surface can be a smooth flat roof,no longer a spike,and the trough is more common than honing process products.Deeper,the two are regularly spaced.The engine that is processed by the flat top honing process can have higher energy efficiency,the cycle time of cylinder bore running is greatly shortened,and the oil consumption is effectively reduced.Therefore,research and application of the flat top honing process is of great significance for improving the engine processing quality and improving the product competitiveness.This article introduced the development history of honing and domestic application status,researched the honing process mechanism,after thorough study and summarization of the flat top honing technology,analyzed the defects of the existing honing technology,combined with existing equipment,improved the honing process,introduced the flat Top grinding technology.(1)The current honing technology has great room for improvement in many aspects of processing.The existing boring process has a large fluctuating cylindricity in the cylinder bore,the cylinder hole diameter size is difficult to control,the processing time is wasted,and the product reputation is affected;the processing cycle is unstable,the honing time is long,the efficiency is low,and the lifetime of the whetstone is low,resulting in processing cost And manpower costs increase;in the use of kerosene selection of kerosene,the workpiece is not easy to clean after processing,there are flammable and explosive safety hazards,can not meet the national energy saving requirements.(2)Study on the plateau honing head,to achieve the plateau honing,the surface must be the case of two finisher feed honing head,while meeting the flat top fine honing a honing clamped in honing head positioned only once Only the ideal flat-top textured structure will be presented;the choice of honing stone requires a combination of several factors such as thematerial of the workpiece being machined,the honing of the workpiece size and the required accuracy of the final roughness,etc.;Honing technology requires rigorous calibration and maintenance of roughness,cylindricity measuring equipment and pneumatic measuring instruments.(3)The honing stone material,fixing method and honing grinding parameters which play a key role in honing process quality in flat top honing process were tested and analyzed.Firstly,different test conditions were set based on the industrial processing experience and actual production conditions.By analyzing the honing process effect of each test group,the determination of the honing stone material,the honing stone fixing method and honing grinding parameters were completed.(4)A systematic analysis of various factors affecting the flat top honing process was performed,and the factors such as positioning cylinder pressure parameters,honing liquid and honing strip circle control and honing allowances were analyzed and improved,and flat top honing was realized.Process optimization and improvement have further improved the level of honing processing.By tracking and verification tests,the introduction of the plateau honing technology ideal results achieved,honing process,and the process parameters optimized to improve the machining accuracy and improve engine performance of the cylinder bore,improved honing stone materials improve the processing efficiency,liquid honing Improvements effectively ensure the level of environmental protection and avoid potential safety hazards. |
