| β-cyclodextrin has a unique molecular structure of exocyclic hydrophilic andendocyclic hydrophobic, can form inclusion compound with many guest molecules. Ithas been proved that β-cyclodextrin can include some finishing agent and control itsrelease, to reach the purpose of delaying the action efficacy. In addition,β-cyclodextrin can also include as sweat stink, cigarette stink, body odor and otherodor molecules, will be a new type of environmentally friendly deodorizationfinishing agent. The catechins have a series pharmacological health care function,which are widely used in medical drugs, daily cosmetic, etc. Besides, catechin hasstrong activity of hydroxyl group and carbonyl group, can react neutralization,polycondensation and so on with odor substances, playing the role of removing odor.Therefore, catechin can be used in fabric functional finishing as deodorant agent.Combining with the β-cyclodextrin characteristics of hydrophobic cavity andcatechin deodorant properties, apply the β-cyclodextrin inclusion catechin to woolfabric deodorant finishing. As β-cyclodextrin combines wool fibers by ionic bond andcovalent bond, first modify it to sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin, and under acidicconditions grafted onto wool fabric, then include catechin, also evaluate thewearability and the removing cigarette stink performance of finished wool fabrics,finally study the deodorant finishing of15kinds of common worsted wool fabrics.Evaluate the grafting rate by the weight gain, the larger the weight gain, thehigher the grafting rate. By univariate analysis, get the optimum grafting process: thesulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin concentration of160g/L, acetic acid concentration of5g/L, water bath temperature of95℃, reaction time of75min, sodium sulfateconcentration of10g/L. In this condition, the weight gain of wool fabric is30.5mg/g.Derived by infrared spectra analysis: there are characteristic absorption peak of-NH3﹢(ammonium salt) and R-SO﹣﹢3M(sulfonate) after grafting, which can explain thatthe sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin are grafted to wool fabrics by ionic bond.Include catechin on wool fabrics which grafted sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin byusing ultrasonic method. Exhaustion rate is the main index, the greater the exhaustion rate, the better inclusion of catechin. By univariate analysis, get the optimal inclusionprocess as follows: catechin concentration of5.0g/L, temperature of60℃andinclusion time of60min. In base of univariate analysis, design orthogonal experimentof three factors and three levels, as the exhaustion rate and weight gain for compositeindicator, by range analysis derive the significant order of the impact factors: catechinconcentration greater than temperature than inclusion time.The breaking strength of the wool fabric after finishing has little change, butapparent depth has a certain change, expressed as the K/S becomes small, L becomeslarge. After washing5times and10times, the weight loss rate of finished woolfabrics is low, are0.92%and1.16%respectively. With the washing number increase,catechin gradually escape from the cavity, the weight loss increase accelerates. Theweight loss of15times is1.63%,20times is2.35%. Therefore, the washingresistance of finished wool fabrics is not ideal, needs to be further improved.Based on the SMOG test (odor rating system test), improve experimentalprocedures. Using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry test, evaluate the removingcigarette stink performance by total ion abundance and peak area in order to achievethe objective, simple, rapid evaluation method. By analyzing the experimental dataderive that: wool fabric which grafted sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin inclusion catechinhas good result of removing cigarette stink, and the result of wool fabric which onlygrafted sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin is usual.Research on the deodorant finishing of15kinds of worsted wool fabrics: thecontent of grafted sulfonic acid β-cyclodextrin inclusion catechin and the fabrictightness together affect the deodorant performance, which the content of inclusioncatechin plays a major role. Namely: the more the content of grafted sulfonic acidβ-cyclodextrin inclusion catechin, the better effect of removing cigarette stink.Finished wool fabric has good deodorant performance, can remove the odormolecules in the surrounding environment, and create a comfortable and healthyliving environment for people. This research provides a theoretical basis forβ-cyclodextrin applly to textile deodorant finishing, also lays the foundation fordeodorant finishing of wool fabric. |
