Abstract:Molybdenum mine is a important rare metallic mineral resource which is rich in our country. However, the small size of particles, high content of organic matter, complex composition of gangue minerals and lots of impurity elements make molybdenum mine hard to separate although it’s high value and content in mineral is much higher than the industrialexploitation grade. At the same time, based on the situation that bonanza have been explored deeply and the global fanaticism for molybdenum, extracting molybdenum from lean ore become the most important problem. This paper focus on the basic study of lean molybdenum ore, hoping to provide information for follow-up workers.In the real experiment, the grinding fineness is controlled at-0.074mm of71.88%, the amount of kerosene+BY, blowing agent, sodium hexa-meta-phosphate are200+100g/t,50g/t and100g/t, respectively. The time for grinding is fixed on2min, the number of segments is11, the content of sodium silicate is30g/t.Closed-circuit test shows that, concentrate ore with grade of29.66%, recoveries of93.55%could be harvested after6culling. Open-circuit test shows that, concentrate ore with grade of49.67%, recoveries of82.42%could be harvested after11culling.To improve the recoveries, new types of kerosene such as BP-1, BP-2and BP-3are researched, the influence of mechanism, pH, dosage on molybdenum disulfide, quartz and calcite are studied. Results show that, under the weak acid solution, the order of which is BP-1> BP-2> BP-3.The IR analysis between new kerosene and molybdenum disulfide shows that, tertiary aminesadsorbed onmolybdenum sulfidesurface while molybdenum sulfide has no obvious changes. It means that the interaction between kerosene and molybdenum disulfide is a kind of physic effect while not a chemical one.
