In China, molybdenum reserves is about850million tons, and is one of the countries which is most rich with molybdenum resources. But molybdenum deposit grade of China was significantly lower. The average grade of65%deposit is less than0.1%of the total reserves. Excellent beneficiation process for processing molybdenum ore and beneficiation research is necessary. In this paper, we find a suitable pharmaceutical system to separate molybdenum ore and pyrite by pure mineral test; By Ji Lin molybdenum mine in a small experiment study, the test results of pure mineral is proved; adsorption amount detection, potential detection, infrared spectroscopy to study the role of the collector and inhibitors of mineral status.The pure mineral Experimental studies have shown, through the flotation of molybdenite and pyrite on pH testing, collector and dosage tests, regulator tests and its dosage? floatability of molybdenite is fine on the pH range from1to12; floatability of pyrite on the pH range from2to6is good, but it declines when pH is high up than6. At pH of11, MF collectors for molybdenite outperforms Pine oil, butyl xanthate and butylamine aerofloat; With the increase of pH MF collector for pyrite performance deteriorated.Therefore, MF is a good molybdenite collector; while under conditions of high alkalinity the floating ability of pyrite and quartz is poor, MF agents is suitable for separating molybdenite and pyrite, quartz.In different combinations of collector and regulator agents, MF and MA combination is of the best recovery for molybdenite, and inhibitory effect for pyrite. Therefore, MF and MA is the optimal portfolio combination for molybdenum ore and pyrite separation.The main valuable minerals are molybdenite in ore, gangue minerals are mainly quartz, feldspar. Disseminated particle of molybdenite is uneven, some tiny flakes of molybdenite disseminated distribution.Rude ore containing0.076%Mo, when grinding fineness is of77.28%-0.074mm, molybdenum concentrates with Mo grade of55.34%, the recovery rate of86.64%can be obtained。Detected by the amount of adsorption, dynamic potential detection and infrared spectroscopy, the results show that, at pH=11, the adsorption amount of MF adsorbed on the molybdenite surface is more than that on the pyrite surface adsorption; the form of adsorption is physical adsorption. When the presence of MA, the adsorption of MF agents on the molybdenite surface reduce to a lesser extent; but the adsorption of MF on pyrite surface reduce a lot. The floating ability gap between molybdenite and pyrite increases. The molybdenite surface to form a hydrophilic group and the pyrite formed on the surface of the hydrophilic group, collector pyrite surface adsorption desorption occurs or reduce the amount of pharmaceutical adsorption. So facilitate the separation of molybdenite and pyrite.
