With the continuous development of small modulus gear manufacturing technology, the demand for accurate and efficient measurement of small modulus gear is also increasing. Currently, developed countries already have the mature technology of small modulus gear measurement, and many small modules gear measuring equipment has been produced as commercial production, but the domestic research in related fields is still far behind the developed countries.Servo drive technology is one of the key technologies for small modulus gear measurement. Through the study of small displacement servo drive technology, two kinds of servo drive total scheme are worked out. Considering the advantages and disadvantages of the two programme, the finally selected programme is as follows. Precision positioning table which is mounted on the marble pedestal is used to achieve the Z-axis feed motion. Spindle system driven by frameless motor is mounted on the precision positioning table with vertical installation. R-axis coarse feed motion is achieved by ball screw and fixed on the marble pedestal. R-axis precision feed structure is mounted on the coarse feed structure, and the probe is mounted on the precision feed structure. Accurate feed motion is driven by the piezoelectric bimorph actuator.According to the total programme, the driven structure of spindle, Z-axis and R-axis is designed. Piezoelectric bimorph is used as the actuator to achieve the R-axis accurate feed motion. The electrical connection of the bimorph is parallel and the installation of the bimorph is as cantilever. High-voltage operational amplifier circuit is designed for driving the bimorph, and experiments are also taken for testing the capability of the circuit. The circuit for controlling the R-axis accurate feed motion is designed and a STM32F107VC microprocessor is used as its heart.
