This article deeply studied calciners for petroleum cokes, calcining technology, utilization of the waste heat and fume purification. Those helped to meet the massproduction of carbon anodes, meet the market requirements, match the requirements ofanode quality, economize the investments, reduce energy consumption and increase theproduction benefits. This article deeply studied shaft calciners and calcining technology. Comparingdomestic calcining technology with foreign technology, this paper found the differences. The big shaft calciner was developed by reforming the furnace body, flue, shaft, monitoring system and automation equipment. The capacity of single shaft went up from80-90kg to150-160kg on the basis of ensuring the quality of calcined coke. This article introduced power generation by utilizing waste heat from shaft calcinerswhich can provide1.7×108kw/h electricity. This is equivalent to that provided by55,590tons of standard coal. Utilizing waste heat from claincers to generate electricity can save77,824tons of coal each year since the standard coefficient is0.7143. The income shouldbe increased by78,200,000Yuan if the online electrovalency is0.46Yuan/kWh, whoseeconomic benefits reach56,600,000Yuan excluding the generation cost of21,600,000Yuan. In addition, a power generation of1.7×108kw/h equates to reducing carbonemissions of165,000tons.Using ammonia desulfurization for fume treatment can meet the nationalenvironmental standards, because the desulphuration efficiency reaches more than95%and emission concentration below200mg/Nm3. Ammonia sulfate produced fromdesulfurization could be recycled as fertilizer. This can prevent the secondary pollutionand effectively protect the environment.
