With continuous development of plastics molding technology, people pay stricter requirement for the molding product. Recent years, newly spring-up all electric injection molding machine attracts much attention. With the advantages of precision, efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection and so on, it is in the direction for small and medium-sized injection molding machine. For the different traditional hydraulic motor and mechanical transmission structure, the design of all electric injection molding machine can not copy the one of traditional hydraulic injection molding machine. Though all electric injection molding machine is relatively mature in foreign countries, the development of our country are still at the starting point. Now what we face is how to design High Cost-Effective all electric injection molding machine to improve the market competitiveness.This article analyses one of the important parts of all electric injection molding machine----clamping unit. With the3D modeling software, the toggle clamping mechanism of3D modeling is built. Based on the movement mechanism of the toggle clamping mechanism, it gets the mathematical formulas of the main motion parameters. Based on ADAMS software, the virtual prototype of clamping mechanism is built and the simulation analysis of it is done, getting the dynamic charactersistic curves.The clamping mechanism parameterized model is set up, carrying out the parametric analysis. After parameterizing the variables which are related to the clamping mechanism, you can get the desired clamping structure just by changing the value of the design variables, and then rapidly get the analysis of the new structure by using ADAMS. In this way, it greatly improves the design speed of the calmping mechanism. Using the design study method of the ADAMS, the impact degree of each design variable to the objective function can be obtained. Using the optimized design method, you can get the best design parameters of the clamping mechanism within the constraints.The rigid-flexible coupling model of the clamping mechanism is built. Using the contact force, the generation process of the clamping force is simulated. Then we can get the curve of the servo motor output torque and the curve of the the ball screw axial force in the entire production cycle, by which we can be able to accurately select the specifications of both. Through the simulation of the rig id-flexible couple modle, each part’s curve of stress changing with time can be got, which lays the foundation for the analysis of the tiredness of the parts.According to the stress curves of the parts, we can modifiy the structure of the parts, achieving the purpose of optimizing the parts, which can improve the performance of the whole machine and, at the same time, reduce the production cost.
