With the development of the injection molding technology at home and abroad as well as the progress of science and technology level, performance requirements of injection molding machine has to be higher and higher. To meet the market requirements, such as high precision, high efficiency, environmental protection, all-electric injection molding machine was born. Injection unit is an important part of the injection molding machine, this unit has important influence on plasticizing capacity, quality of plasticizing and measuring accuracy, etc. Now the type of injection molding machine is becoming more and more, product update cycle is becoming shorter and shorter, it is imperative to improve the design efficiency. At present, the development and application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology has become a hot spot of research, and more and more penetrating to the design of mechanical products.This paper takes all-electric injection molding machine’s injection unit as the object, using the excellent properties of Computer Aided Design (CAD), combining computer aided technology and parameterized design, aiming at high efficiency and convenience, injection unit parts library is built. This library includes feed tube group parts library, transmission parts library, structural support parts library and standard parts library. Comprehensive comparing the pros and cons of CAD software, give priority to the difficulty of the development and maintainability, etc., finally choosing SolidWorks as the development platform. Using Visual Basic programming technology and Access database management technology, combined with the powerful secondary development function of SolidWorks API, generate SolidWorks plug-in, create the human-computer interaction interface, realize the seamless connection with SolidWorks plug-in and complete the second development of the feed tube group. This is based on characteristic modelling and parts can be generated using the parameterized drivers. Feed tube component is the most important part of the injection unit, parametric design of the component can greatly improve the design efficiency of injection unit and all-injection molding machine and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent development of injection device.The injection molding screw is a vital part of the all-electric injection molding machine, injection molding products’ quality precision and plasticizing performance are closely related to it. Secondary development eventually can realize that function:Determine the speed according to the injection screw diameter or determine the injection screw diameter according to the speed. According to the actual working status of screw in plasticizing process, select the PS material, we simulate the injection screw’s metering section by using fluent software. Then we can get the melt’s distribution of pressure field and velocity field under different rotational speed. Through the analysis of simulation results, we can get the suitable rotational speed for the injection screw in the simulation of process conditions. It verifies the appropriate value for all-electric injection molding machine’s rotational speed in the actual. It can provide reference for the screw’s structure design and the practical engineering.
