Steel industry plays an important part for the development of the whole country’s economy. Many steel corporations devote to technique innovation in order to improve productivity and save energy. The integration production of steelmaking (SM) and continuous casting (CC) as well as hot rolling (HR) involved Continuous Casting-Hot Charge Rolling and no wait in the steel production, there are benefits for the production comparing cold charge, but also bringing new challenges for the production planning.The integration production of SM and CC as well as HR has three processes in the steel production, relating to many schedules production, including steelmaking scheduling, casting scheduling and hot rolling scheduling. Many factors should be considering in the scheduling of this production: steel grade, width, thick, rigidity, due date, and other technologic constraints.Considering the above practical production constraints, multi-mathematic formulations are proposed based on the characters of the integration production, and adopt intelligence algorithms to solve them. And an optimization system for production planning has been developed and applied to the practice production. Planners can download necessary data and use this system to schedule the whole production. After the system generates the production sequence, planners can adjust the sequence base on the results obtained by computer.The emulation system is test run in the2# steelmaking and 1580 hot rolling areas of the BaoSteel. During this period of time, the results generated by computer are better than the results planed by production operator, and with a lot of advantages including high automation, fast planning generation, high veracity, and convenience.
