DNC is a manufacturing automation technology by connecting a computer to a number of NC machines, and is a very important basic technology to realize the function of FMS and CIMS. Aimed at the problems of NC machines in practical training centre, the thesis have done some research in the application of computer communication, network and database technology in the network management system of NC machine. With the precondition of trying to minimize the change of hardware, by importing serial network sever module NPOrtExpressDE-311, found a new DNC communication structure of NC machine in practical training centre. And by using Windows 2000 as operation system, Access as background database, Visual Basic6.0 as explorative tool, together with the methods of OOP and modular program design, explored a DNC communication and part machining program database management software ground on TCP/IP and RS-232 communication protocols. It makes the main computer of DNC can communicate with a number of NC machines, and manage the information such as machining program, part’s code name, corresponding machine, user’s name and the changing date. Consequently realized the connection of NC machine and the main computer of DNC, and connect the main computer and CAD/CAM system to the campus management info net.The NC machine communication and machining program management system which is designed in this thesis is using in NC practical training centre of QiShuYan Railway Vocational and Technical College, The processing ability of school NC practiced training centre and the utilization of NC equipment are greatly improved, which sets up a platform to make it a modern practical training center.
