Piezoelectric bimorph has been widely used in sensors and actuators for its excellent sensitivity. This paper presents an solution to piezoelectric bimorph with surface electrodes under several different loading conditions based on the theory of elasticity.The work includes:1) An exact solution for a piezoelectric bimorph cantilever applied with linearly distributed loading is obtained by the stess function method, then the effect which polarization and loading conditions have on the potential distribution is discussed with the solution;2) The solution got in the former is also applicable to the model with fixed loads in the end, by changing boundary conditions the model can turn into sensor model, driving force model and driving displacement model, the exact solution of which are presented respectively.The conclusion got by this paper can be an instruction for the optimization of device performance.
