Objective With Achenbach’s child behavior checklist(CBCL) and Egma minnen avbardndosnauppforstran (EMBU) task,to research behavioral problems in children withidiopathic epilepsy and feature of their parental rearing patterns and analyze thecorrelation between age of onset, course, seizure control, type of epilepsy, parental rearingpatterns,to explore the method of improving children’s behavioral problems with epilepsy.Material and Methods Using Raven’s standard progressive matrices as the basis forexclusion, according to the internalize standard and deplete standard.Totally42childrenwith idiopathic epilepsy and normal controls that match the gender, age, education level wereinquired and assessed with Achenbach’s child behavior checklist(CBCL) and Egma minnen avbardndosnauppforstran (EMBU),the results were compared, and the multi-factors logisticregression analyze of variance were performed to examine the relationship of CBCL andEMBU,epileptic clinical feature.A p value of less than0.05was viewed as significantlydifference. Results The ratio of the abnormal behavior in children with idiopathic epilepsy was76.19%,whichwas significantly higher than the normal controls (26.47%,p<0.01).No special different ofabnormal behavior rate compare male(61.91%) with female(90.48%,p>0.05) children withidiopathic epilepsy. In study group, parental punishment (p<0.01) parental denial(p<0.05),maternal interfere (p<0.05) scores were higher than health controls. Multi-factorslogistic regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between the maternal denialand bebavioral disorders (p<0.05).Conclusion The children with idiopathic epilepsy have the higher frequency in behavioraldisorders, the result of abnormal behavior between male and female not significantly, and their parental rearing patterns are more restrictive. Moreover, maternal denial rearingpatterns is relate to behavior problems in children with idiopathic epilepsy.
