ObjectiveTo explore the safety of central venous infusious of concentrated potassiun chloride corrects hypOkalemia by micro-pump By testing the potassium of blood sampleing from central venous catheter near heart.MethodsThe central venous infusious of concentrated potassium chloride of400mmol/L at the rate of50ml an hour were carried out on79cases of hypokalemia patients admitted in the ICU four years with double lumen central venous catheterization92times by bye hole, then the potassium of blood sampling from stomidium of central venous catheter and peripheral vein were determined at the first30minutes and the second30minutes of the observation. The correlation of the Serum potassium level from central venous catheter and peripheral vein were anlyzed with the application of the SPSS16.0statistics software.Result1:Serum potassium from stomidium is higher than peripheral blood in the same time the difference was statistically significant (t=65.71,t=54.17,P<0.01),it i improve Serum potassium level of heart more rapidly..2:positive correlations were found between Serum potassium sampling from stomidium and peripheral vein at the first30minutes and the second30minutes(r=0.83,i=0.77,p<0.01),under a constant speed and concentrations premise, the increase of Serum potassium sampling from stomidium have close correlation with the data from peripheral vein and was in the normal range. Conclusion:For these patients who were limitied in the injection speed or quantity of fluid and cardiac patients with hypokalemia, The method of central venous iinfusious of concentrated potassiun chloride is safe and feasible.
